St. Louis is 20 or less. Has been for a while which is odd as we don't usually get much of a winter here.

I've forgotten how long you said you've lived in St. Louis, but we used to get some doozies of winters around here. It was not unusual to see at least three or four blizzards, and a snowshovel of some kind was a necessity for every household. I know what you mean, though: this current run of icy weather is the most relentlessly cold weather we've had in a long time. Let's hope the groundhog was right.

A very nice, chill winter day, and probably about .2 degrees warmer than Dire's neck of the woods. Whereas in moments i may desire the kind of warmth that many who live in warmer climes have, such as several of the posters on this thread, i love the seasonal changes of New England, and of course the cold & bitter winter weather goes perfectly with the general and overall temper of New Englanders themselves. Perfectly happy in my wool.

Wait a sec! You live in Jersey & it's sunny & warm? Things sure must've changed or all this global warming has a more dire effect than i thought. Grew up in Jersey, and for 18 years most definitely experienced a change in seasons!

I'm in northern New York about 40 miles from Oswego. And yes they have had quite a snow event. I am also about 45 miles from a very small town called Orwell. They have been hit harder, 123 inches in 6 days. Now here it is 9 with a chill about minus 10. We only had around 28 inches from the round of snow up here

Middle of South Carolina 43 and sleeting...go figure.

Had my share of northernmost NY winters back in the 70's; do remember the -40 nights and -20 days 5 days straight.

Spit freezes before it hits the ice you're treading on and no one walks slowly outside!

Riverside-OK then. If you were somewhere other than my birthplace, I would perhaps hold a grudge. It has been many, many years since I have been there. I went to school up until 5th grade in Bloomington. I remember once during a particularly rainy season the Santa Ana River was actually wildly raging. Most of the time, though, it was a dry bed.

Good to hear from somebody in my old neighborhood.

If I were in Oswego, I'd be on a plane to first kill you and then enjoy the fine weather. As it is, I'm in Phoenix and it's a lovely 74 with blue skies.

Great, now someone's coming to kill me too.
